Having crossed the lanes, By lanes, Bazaars, I almost reach a narrow road that leads to Amber Fort / Amer Garh. Here, at the Govt. owned cottage Industry I learn through my Cab driver that we must hire a Guide who would charge some 100 bucks and help us run down the history & legacy of Amer Garh. I realised later, how important it was to get a guide else those minute details that I gained from him would have been impossible.
A local market with not many changes. Same old buildings, which get a bit of upliftment with time.
Hawa Mahal (Palace of wind) – During those times, women were allowed to view outside only though these tiny windows. Due to lack of time, I could not visit inside but was amazed to see the built that stood erect and tall amidst the busy Bazaar.

After a couple of hours journey I finally landed safely at Jaipur Terminal. Though the Airport was kind of well maintained; at least externally, but when I went into the rest-room my opinion changed. I was utterly disappointed. A place so commonly visited by tourists all across the globe can not compromise on such standards. It just leaves a bad impression I feel. Anyway, I did not let my spirit get bogged down.
On my way to to exit gate, I noticed a small counter, named “Rajasthan Tourism”! I thought collecting a map of Jaipur & the places to visit in and around, a few phone numbers perhaps can be quite handy. An old lady sitting there managed to pick up the desired one and offered to me with a smile.
Temperature outside was tolerable, I felt a little warm though. From there I took a Taxi, A Govt. registered and off I went into the city…to tour around & get the real feel!!!

My first scheduled trip to Jaipur, Rajasthan…just for the sake of travel, as Robert Loius Stevenson once quoted, ““I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.”
This is my real dream, I genuinely want to travel, travel a lot, explore places, meet people, learn the cultural diversity across India and abroad, try to imbibe the best, and in the end feel content. I thought travel was all about this.
I was sceptical to plan this trip initially and to that a friend added, “Go for it! 10 or 20 years down the line, would you want to regret thinking you did nothing exciting in life? NO? Right? Then simply go for it…when you look back you should feel happy & content” .
I was determined by now & without wasting any more time, I booked my tickets and thought let the journey begin…
